Provider requests for law-firm teams

Identify the person making the request

Choose the role that describes the person completing the form: attorney, case manager, paralegal or other law-firm staff. The form requires the law firm and the requestor’s contact phone for those roles. Use the requestor’s name and contact details rather than substituting a patient’s identity.

Keep account defaults current

Signed-in users can save their own contact defaults for later requests. Review the filled details each time. The reply email can be changed for an individual inquiry without changing the account defaults.

Describe the provider need

For a sourcing request, identify the specialty, geography, case type and practical service requested. Explain the request in terms the operations team can use to look for a suitable office. Avoid including unnecessary patient identifiers or detailed injury histories.

Separate PI and workers’ compensation

Select the relevant case type. The directory tracks PI and workers’ compensation acceptance independently. A location offering a specialty does not by itself establish acceptance of a particular case or payment arrangement.

Set expectations for the handoff

An inquiry or sourcing request is a request for follow-up. It does not establish an appointment, guarantee availability, or confirm payment terms. Confirm the requested services and arrangements directly with the office.

Use the provider’s secure intake channel for records

The directory does not sync the subsequent email conversation into an internal inbox. Ask the office which secure process it uses for records and other sensitive materials. Do not assume an ordinary email reply is the appropriate place to attach them.
